This is my first post

This is my first message, now edited…because I’m learning all the tricks that my colleague and friend Sean Yo has taught me about blogging! I took out my original sample photo (from my 2005 China trip) and re-posted this message with some alternate photos.  They give a quick idea about me showing a photo of me as “beadle” at a University of Guelph convocation (I am the University Secretary and my office looks after university governance activities); a photo with my son, Justin, while we were on holiday last summer at the Blue Spruce (near Algonquin Park); and me while on my last international volunteer experience — in July 2007 I went to Japan to volunteer with the Asian Rural Institute (
Vicki at Convocations; As University Secretary, as part of support for the University of Guelph's Board of Governors and Senate, I usually help "Beadle" at convocations.
